FAQ
-
moveart objects are crafted from high-durability Accoya® wood and stainless steel. The unique wood acetylation process guarantees a minimum lifespan of 25 years. With basic maintenance, this period can be significantly extended.
-
Maintenance is remarkably simple, requiring only occasional sanding of the wooden elements. The newly exposed layer does not require varnishing; Accoya® technology treats the wood through its entire cross-section, ensuring deep-seated preservation.
-
Yes, all materials used are completely health-safe. Accoya® wood has undergone rigorous environmental and health assessments, earning the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold standard for Material Health.
-
Accoya® achieves Durability Class 1 (the highest possible) according to EN 113 and EN 252 standards. Due to its modified cellular structure, it absorbs significantly less heat on hot days compared to other materials, making it burn-safe to the touch. It resists cracking, delamination, and weathering, remaining environmentally neutral while withstanding intensive use and vandalism.

Our portfolio is divided into two primary lines:
* Playsculpture: Designed specifically for playgrounds and active play.
* Smartcity: Tailored for sophisticated urban landscapes.
Each line features several distinct models. Additionally, moveart specializes in bespoke, one-of-a-kind projects utilizing our proprietary design method: the Space Ignition Process. -
It is both. Playsculpture objects provide unique play value through various forms of physical engagement. Due to the height of most installations in this line, a certified safety surface (impact area) is required. The Smartcity line offers solutions optimized for public realms; these objects are lower in height, allowing for flexible installation in any urban setting without specialized safety surfacing.
